Masculine Birthday

Well, it's Saturday again, which means I get some time to stamp (between loads of laundry LOL).  This first card I'm posting today is using the sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.  I realised it's been a wee while since I made a masculine card so that led me to the Well Worn DSP, which is one my favorites.  I've already bought another pack because it's due to retire at the end of August.

I had been looking for a really large birthday greeting stamp and managed to find one - but man, it's big!  It took my two biggest oval nesties to frame it.

Here's my card:

I stamped the Soft Suede card base with both the Woodgrain and Wonderfully Worn background stamps.  I was dying to do some sponging but was a good girl and stuck to the challenge guidelines.  I also stamped the Well Worn background on the sentiment layer to break up the River Rock a bit.  Here's the sketch I used for this card:

Thanks for looking.

Products used (all Stampin' Up! unless otherwise stated):

Stamps:  Happy Birthday (DRS Designs); Woodgrain; Wonderfully Worn
Cardstock:  Soft Suede; River Rock; Not Quite Navy; Well Worn DSP
Ink:  Not Quite Navy; Soft Suede; River Rock
Accessories:  Oval Nestabilities; Black Brads

Cheers
