Partial Cut Flowers

Hi and welcome!  It's time for another challenge from the team at The Flower Challenge and this month we have a treat for you!  It's our Case the Designer challenge and the designer is the amazing Therese Calvird.  Check out this amazing card:

No automatic alt text available.

There is so much to be inspired by on Therese's card - the floral die, negative die cut, pink, ombre, the gorgeous soft background behind the die-cut, the layout...  I was inspired by the layout and the pinks.  I also used the same sentiment but in a different way.

I white-embossed a text stamp onto a panel of watercolor paper and watercolored with distress inks.  I then adhered that to the card base.  The top panel was die-cut with the Partial Cut Flowers die and added with foam tape.  I popped up the petals so you can see the watercolored panel underneath.   Here are a couple more photos so you can see the real effect of the flowers.

Thanks for visiting.  The rest of the DT have some beautiful cards so I hope you'll check them out and also pay a visit to Therese's gorgeous blog.

Products used:

Stamps:  Amazing (MFT), Trendsetters Background (Unity)
Ink:  Versamark, Tattered Rose, Spun Sugar & Worn Lipstick Distress Inks
Cardstock:  White, watercolor, black, pink
Dies:  Partial Cut Flowers (SSS), Doubly Amazing (MFT)

Cheers
Karren

  14. I agree with all the comments above. This is an amazing design. The partial cut flowers with the colour peeking through is such a great effect, and I can imagine gives great shadowing in certain lights too. So clever!
