Sunshine Birthday

Hi and welcome to another sketch challenge at SugarPea Designs.

I used this sketch (flipped onto its side) to make a birthday card for my niece who is turning 6.

I stamped and colored the little girl from Hello Sunshine, paper-piecing the umbrella with some polka dot patterned paper.  I then cut it out with a Zig Zag Stitched Rectangle die.  I then dug out some old patterned paper for the left panel and used some yellow striped baker's twine for the vertical strips in the sketch.  I stamped the sentiment onto a Zig Zag Stitched Circle die cut from the same polka dot paper.  Some sequins finished off the card.

Thanks for visiting!

Here are the guidelines to join in our challenge:

  • Create a new card or project using the sketch provided.
  • SugarPea Designs stamps are NOT required to play along or to win but would be appreciated :)
  • You may rotate/flip the sketch & replace shapes – so long as the original sketch layout is recognizable.
  • Upload to your blog or other Online Gallery using Keyword: SPDSS48 so that we may check out your beautiful work.
  • One randomly selected winner will receive a $25 Gift Certificate to the SugarPea Designs store. However, if the winning entry features a SugarPea Designs stamp we will increase the prize to $75!
  • We will announce our Main Winner at the end of each month.
  • The more times you play along during the month, the better chance you have of winning!
