I went back to the first SPD set I bought - Happy Mail - for my card and focussed on the mailbox to come up with this card.
I stamped and colored the mailbox before cutting it out with a Zig Zag Stitched Circle die. I also colored and cut out the letter three times. With one of them, I cut it in half and popped it in the box. The other two were placed on the card base for the flag accents on the sketch.
For the background, I took a Desert Storm card base and sponged over a Donna Downey stencil with PTI's Fine Linen ink. For the horizontal strip, I sponged Dried Marigold and Spiced Marmalade inks onto a panel of watercolor paper before dropping water onto it. I then flicked Spiced Marmalade ink on before sponging over with the same Donna Downey stencil. I cut the two sentiments up so they would fit to the left of the mailbox.
