Congratulations

Hi and welcome!  Today's card was made with the repetition theme at Less is More in mind.  I also went with the "No Patterned Paper" theme at Cardz for Galz (easy for me!) and the gorgeous inspiration pic at Time Out, where I was drawn to the neutral tones with pops of black and color.  I love that inspiration photo so much that I might be back with a second card at some stage :)

I die-cut the Bed of Roses cover plate by Essentials by Ellen from white cardstock and adhered it to a Soft Stone card base.  From there I adhered a white-embossed banner and placed some lilac enamel dots.

Make A Wish

Hi and welcome to my blog.  Today's card was made especially for a few of the current challenges, specifically Seize The Birthday's Anything Goes theme, Less is More who are looking for dragons, heroes or saints, the colors at Color Throwdown, the Girlie theme at Simon Says Stamp and the fussy-cutting/die cutting celebration theme at Time Out.

For my card, I colored up the adorable dragon from Sugar Pea Designs, after doing a bit of masking to add the birthday cake.  Once I was finished coloring, I fussy cut the image out and colored the whole thing with clear Wink of Stella.

On my card base, I sponged Picked Raspberry and Carved Pumpkin inks over the Geometric Grid stencil by MFT, concentrating on the bottom left corner and fading it out towards the center of the card.  I then stamped the sentiment in black ink and popped up my dragon with foam tape.  I finished the card with some rainstones.

Silver Love

Hi, again!  This is my third post today, but the linky at CASology is closing and I want to link my card to that challenge.

I just had to make a card for this week's challenge at Less Is More - white on white is such a hard challenge, but so beautiful!  I went for a love card and am also linking it to the current Tic-Tac-Toe Challenge, CAS on Sunday and AAA Cards - the latter two both have love/Valentine themed challenges.  For Tic-Tac-Toe I'm using the top row - Love, Shimmer and Hearts.

It's hard to see in the photo, but I've white embossed cascading hearts all down the front panel of this card.  You can see them slightly better in the close-up photo below.  I adhered two strips of silver glimmer paper down each side of the panel then used craft foam as a backing and mounted it onto a white card base.  I also adhered some white cardstock to some craft foam before die-cutting the sentiment.

It's so hard to photograph white-on-white card, but trust me when I say this is much prettier IRL :)

Demure

Hi and welcome!  Today's card was made for the neutrals challenge at Less is More, the word challenge at Just Us Girls, the challenge at Inkspirational and the new stash challenge at Sweet Stampin'.

My new item on this card is the floral stamp from Penny Black called Demure.  I've had this for a month of so, but this is the first chance I've had to ink it up.  I colored it with warm grey Copic markers after stamping it onto my card base.  I then stamped the "thank you" from CTMH along the bottom.

The card looked a bit dull so I die-cut the frame and popped it up on tiny little slivers of foam tape.  I deliberately cut it at an angle to add interest.

Grid Thanks

Today's card was one I came up with and executed quickly (for me!)  I wanted to play along with the challenge at Less is More which is "Fire" and the Thanks challenge at Simon Says Stamp.  As well, I'm entering for the first time into Virginia's View Challenge which has a theme of texture this month.

I took a piece of watercolor paper and white-embossed Hero Arts' Graph Background stamp.  Once that was done, I used the ink smooshing technique to smoosh different yellow and orange inks in the bottom right corner.  I then dripped a solution of  Perfect Pearls and water to give a subtle shimmer.

The panel was then die-cut with a pierced rectangle die.  The sentiment is white-embossed and comes from a brand-new-to-me set  by CTMH called A Thousand Thanks.  I can see I'm going to get a lot of use out of this set!

Rock On!

Hi!  This quick and very CAS one-layer card was made late on Sunday night with a few challenges in mind:  ColorQ, Seize the Birthday with a splatter theme, Less is More with a masculine theme, Cardz for Guyz with a rock theme and Time Out where I was inspired by the colors.

I stamped the sentiment onto a white card base using Slate ink and then stamped the guitar in black ink "resting" it against the sentiment.  I then stamped the smaller ink blots in Orange Peel ink and a triangle of larger ink blots in Burnt Orange ink.

And that was it!  No embellishments because it's for a guy.

Autumn Leaves

Hi!   Today's card was made at the weekend but I'm only just getting around to posting it!  I decided to join in the one layer challenge at Less is More as well as a second entry in the current Time Out challenge.  Both of these have an autumn-themed challenge going on at the moment.

I went for a favourite layout of mine with a sponged panel and some over-stamping.  The panel was masked and sponged with Fossilized Amber, Wild Honey, Spiced Marmalade, Rusty Hinge and Vintage Photo distress inks.  After I removed the masks, I stamped a NBUS foliage set by Penny Black called Lush and Lavish in Archival Black ink, using my Misti for good coverage. 

After the leaves were stamped, I put the masks back on and stamped the little dots from Bold Blooms to tie everything together.

Follow Your Dreams

This card was made for the challenge at Just Us Girls, as well as the Dream cue word at Addicted to CAS and the shiny theme at Less is More.

I started by stamping the Wide Stripes background stamp onto a white card base.  Using my Misti, I had to stamp it about 6 times to get good coverage!  I then stamped the floral stamp onto a white panel and colored it with Prismacolor pencils.  The sentiment was cut in half to make it fit and I then drew the dots with a multi-liner pen so it didn't look too offset.

A strip of gold foil card down each side and some gold sequins and my card was finished.

Pears

I made a quick card this morning because I really wanted to play along in a few of the current challenges - especially those involving fruit!  I have a decent collection of wood-mounted stamps featuring fruit from when I first started collecting and it was time to dust those off and make a card.

So this card was made for City Crafter Challenge and The Male Room, who are both asking for fruit and because my stamps are so old, I'm joining in at Retro Rubber's Anything Goes challenge.  I'm also linking this to CASology with a cue word of "write" and Less is More who want to see green and gold.  I'm a bit iffy about linking to these last two challenges because while my card is CAS in my eyes, there's not a lot of "white" space going on.

Anyway, I white embossed the beautiful calligraphy image onto black cardstock and adhered it with foam tape to the card base with a little sliver of gold at the bottom to add interest.  The pear was stamped onto X-Press It cardstock and loosely colored with Copics before being fussy cut.  It is also popped up on foam tape.  And that's it!
