Rose Hello

Hi and welcome!  Today I'm thrilled to be a Guest Designer for the 1st anniversary of The Flower Challenge.  I was on the original design team, but unfortunately had to step down due to other commitments, but I'm happy to be back for this challenge which features our favourite flower.

For my favourite flower, I chose the rose.  And for my first card, I chose to use Altenew's Vintage Roses stamp set.

I stamped several roses using orange and yellow inks and die-cut them with the matching dies.  They were arranged in an L-shape with some foliage before I put some Press n Seal on top to keep the arrangement together and set it aside.  On a white top-folding card base, I used the Frames die from Simon Says Stamp to cut out the small rectangular frame.  I also cut it from gold foil and put the gold frame inside the die-cut frame.  My floral arrangement was adhered on top with the topmost orange rose popped up on foam tape.

The hello die was used with some black cardstock, over which I colored with clear sparkle pen.  After adhering that to the card, I finished with some Nuvo Jewel Drops.

I'd like to thank Aileen for inviting me to guest with them this month!  Be sure to check out the rest of the Design Team's cards - they are sure to be fabulous.  I'll be back mid-month with a reminder card.

Products used:

Stamps:  Vintage Roses (Altenew)
Ink:  Buttercream, Warm Sunshine, Caramel Toffee, Paper Bag, Sunkissed, Orange Cream, Autumn Blaze, Firebrick, Forest Glades, Frayed Leave, Evergreen (Altenew)
Cardstock:  White, Gold, Black
Dies:  Vintage Roses (Altenew), Frames (SSS), Hello (MFT)
Accessories:  Spectrum Noir Clear Sparkle Pen, Nuvo Jewel Drops

Cheers
Karren
