Unicorns and Glitter

It's time for another challenge from the team at Fusion and we have a rainbow theme going on this time!  I created a fusion for my card, although my rainbow colours are not pastel like in the photo.  This is due to the starting point of my card being the cardstock strips which I had had made from many months ago and I couldn't be bothered making more!

This stamp set is new to me and is a Birdie Brown set.  I stamped and Copic-coloured the unicorn and rainbow and fussy-cut them out.

I was guided by the sentiment to add some glitter so pulled out a pad of glitter paper and chose the white sheet to add some interest behind the rainbow and under the striped panel.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I hope you'll check out the fabulous cards made by the DT.

Starry Friend

Hi and welcome!  Today's card is for the latest challenge at Freshly Made Sketches, where Judy Rozema is our sketch hostess.  I let hot foil do all the work on my card.

My angled panel is a bit different to the sketch as I got it wrong, so let's just ignore that, shall we?  I had just bought the Brickwork EF so decided to use that for my background.  Once that was adhered to a white card base, I then added some new Nested Stars hot foil elements and a hot-foiled sentiment.

It looks so shiny in real life and was a really simple card to make.

Thanks for visiting.  The DT have some fabulous cards so I hope you'll check them out.

Products used:

Cardstock:  White
Dies:  Nested Stars Hot Foil, Nested Stars (Pink Fresh), Hey There Combo (Waffle Flower), Blueprints 18 (MFT)
Accessories:  Bronze Hot Foil, Brickwork Embossing Folder (Tim Holtz)

Favourite Chick

Hi, I'm the sketch hostess over at Freshly Made Sketches this week and here's the card I made - which I think I'll give to my daughter for her upcoming 20th birthday.

I had originally thought to use flowers for the circle elements but then decided to pull out this fun Birdie Brown stamp set and do some easy Copic-colouring.  After I'd coloured the images, I set to work on the card base.  Firstly I die-cut three circles in a white panel and lightly sketched the outlines through the openings onto a white card base.

I then ink-blended some Distress Oxide inks in Cracked Pistachio and Twisted Citron behind the openings.  I stamped the sentiment onto the die-cut panel and adhered it to the card base with foam tape.

I added the chicks with foam tape and finished with an enamel heart to match the red-violet colour in the party hats.

Thanks so much for visiting.  I hope you'll head over and check out the fab cards made by the design team.

Popcorn

Hi, another short post from me as I’m still recovering from Covid. Luckily I had made this card a few weeks ago when my brain was working.

This card uses the inspiration photo and is loosely based on the sketch at Fusion. All these stamps and dies come from My Creative Time.

I used Copics to colour the images before arranging all the elements on a white card base.

That’s it from me, I’m afraid. Thanks for visiting and please check out the wonderful cards made by the design team.

Stamps:  Date Night (My Creative Time)
Ink:  Amaglam (Gina K) Lipstick Red (SSS)

Just For You

Hi and welcome to a new challenge from the team at Freshly Made Sketches where Amy O’Neill is this week’s hostess. I’m going to call this my Covid card because I tested positive last Friday and it took me 2 days to make this card because my head wasn’t functioning properly!

I stamped the grid background stamp with Fog ink onto the card base. The main stamp set I used was a NBUS set that was the first one I grabbed.

There’s not much else to say about the card so I’m going to leave it here as I’m still not feeling great.  Please head over to check out the cards made by the rest of the team.

Thanks for visiting.

Hey There

Hi!  I'm here with a quick post for the latest Freshly Made Sketch challenge where our hostess this week is Cecile Ribon.  Here's my card:

There is no stamping on this card.  I did some ink smooshing with Salvaged Patina Distress Ink on a white card base and then added some triangles die-cut from some patina patterned paper.  I finished with a hot-foiled and die-cut sentiment.
I hope you'll check out how the rest of the team interpreted the sketch.  Thanks for dropping by.

Products used:

Ink:  Salvaged Patina Distress Ink
Cardstock:  White, Patina (Craft Consortium)
Dies:  Hey There Combo (Waffle Flower), Triangle Pattern Builder (Neat & Tangled)
Accessories:  Black foil
