Soft Hello

I'm here with my card for the latest Fusion challenge.  Check out the graphic:

I'm having a mojo-less time at the moment and this card was a struggle but it is what it is.

The bottom layer was embossed with a Blue Pearl EP which looks much nicer in real life.  I die-cut the panel with a stitched rectangle die and adhered it to the card base with foam tape.

Some patterned paper, washi tape and stacked die-cut were used to meet the sketch.

Thanks for visiting.

Products used:

Stamps:  Roses All Over (MFT)
Ink:  Versamark
Cardstock:  White, Gold foil, Watercolor Wash (MFT)
Dies:  Little Hello (MFT), Stitched Scallop Edges (MFT)
Accessories:  Navy/Gold Washi (Altenew)

Rainbow Dots

Hi and welcome to the latest challenge from Freshly Made Sketches where our hostess this week is Cecile Ribon.  And here is Cecile's sketch:

I struggled to come up with anything and ended up with a card I'm not totally happy with, but it is what it is.

In the end I die-cut some dots from a white panel and adhered some embossed strips behind in a rainbow fashion.  I found a bold but plain sentiment for the top and adhered with foam tape to a white card base.

The DT have some really creative takes on the sketch so I hope you'll check them out.

Thanks for visiting.

Products used:

Stamps:  Celebrate (Neat & Tangled), Tiny Alphabet Background (SSS)
Ink:  Versamark, Versafine Onyx Black
Cardstock:  White, Red Hot, Persimmon, Daffodil, Sour Apple, Blu Raspberry (MFT)
Dies:  Stitched Rectangle Stax (MFT), Medium Dot Line (SSS)
Accessories:  Clear EP

In My Thoughts

Hi all and welcome to my blog.  Today's card uses the latest sketch from Freshly Made Sketches where our hostess this week is Jen Brum.  And here is Jen's classic sketch.

I did some stenciling and ink-blending to create the centre rectangle then I did some scoring for the outer rectangle (hard to see in the photos).  After I was finished ink-blending, I stamped this beautiful butterfly and the sentiment - both from the Forever in our Hearts stamp set.

A very simple card!

Thanks for visiting.  I hope you'll check out the wonderful cards made by the rest of the design team.

As a side note, I've had to temporarily remove the link to sign up for email notifications of my posts.  I've been getting spammed for the last several weeks with sign-ups using the same name and different, seemingly real, email addresses and I'm just over it.  I'll put it back up in a month or so and hopefully that'll stop the spamming.

Products used:

Stamps:  Forever in our Hearts (PinkFresh Studio)
Ink:  Obsidian (Altenew), Mustard Seed, Fossilized Amber, Dried Marigold, Abandoned Coral Distress Inks
Cardstock:  White
Accessories:  Masking Rectangle Stencil (Taylored Expressions)

Mother's Day

Hi and welcome to the latest challenge from the Fusion team.  I did a fusion of both sketch and photo to come up with this Mother's Day card which I sent to my mum.

I colored the floral image with Copics and did some ink smooshing onto the background.  Some patterned paper and a stamped sentiment finished the card.

I've tried to capture the shimmer from the clear sparkle pen in this next photo.

Thanks for visiting.  Please check out the fabulous cards made by the design team.

Apple Pie

Hi all!  Our Freshly Made Sketch this week is brought to us by Kim Singdahlsen.  Check it out:
As soon as I saw the strips on the sketch, I immediately thought of weaving of pie crust, so I went looking through my stash for a pie stamp and came up with this.

I had to flip the sketch onto its side to get the image to fit and did a bit of Copic coloring (and yes, I know the rolling pin is waaaay too dark, but it is what it is).

Thanks for visiting.  The DT have some great cards using this unique sketch so I hope you'll check them out.

Hi and welcome.  Today's card is for Linda's sketch at Freshly Made Sketches and I de-layered and CASified her wonderful sketch.

All very simple and I hope you can see the sketch.  The Hello is stacked 4 high to help it stand out from the background.  I finished the card with some raindrops.
