Hi and welcome! It's time for another challenge from Freshly Made Sketches and this week our hostess is Amy and she has a wonderful sketch for us.
For my card, I decided to use the Graphic Twist die from Simon Says Stamp that I got a while ago but hadn't used until now. I sponged Apricot, Duckling and Steel Blue onto some white scraps and die-cut the image from each color. I then put it back together using all three colors.
I kept the rest of the card very plain, stamping the sentiment from another NBUS set from PTI called Good Times.
Thanks for visiting. The rest of the design team have some wonderful cards using this sketch and we'd love to see you in the gallery.
Products used:
Stamps: Good Times (PTI)
Ink: Versafine Onyx Black, Apricot, Duckling, Steel Blue (SSS)
Cardstock: White, Black
Accessories: Graphic Twist die (SSS), Pierced Rectangle Stax (MFT)
Cheers
Karren

I have no idea what that swoopy thingy is called across the top of your card but I love it!!! And you did it in colors and reassembled it! You go girl! Wonderful card!
This is such a cool die! I love how you've mixed the colors and how they really pop against all of that clean white space. This is a fun and creative use of the sketch!
Hello Karren: I love the way you used this die with different colors, I've seen it before and I think it's beautiful. Cutting the lines and then re assembling them is a fabulous idea, you did it perfectly.
Thank you for sharing.
Hugs,
Maria Rodriguez.
Well, this is an awesome retro design. You've put all those swooshy things together perfectly. I hope it wasn't too hard and didn't take too long. I expect that if I attempted that, the lines would all be askew and I'd have nothing to show for my efforts but sticky fingers from trying to glue all those little pieces!
That big swoosh is so cool and completely freaks out the OCD in me. But you used it perfectly....Wonderful card!
Great card Karren! I love that "twist"! Super cool! I can't even imagine gluing that puppy on!!! Looks fabulous though!
Now THAT is pretty cool! I love how you tri-colored the die! :)
Hi Karren,
Yeah, this die is very very cool, unique and eye catching. What a great little card. Never second guess yourself, your card is way perfect just the way it is.
Blessings,
Barb
Oh my goodness this twisted colourful die has the coolest effect - I am totally digging the retro-ish feel it has!
