Hi and welcome to the latest challenge from the team at Freshly Made Sketches. This week our hostess is Cecile Ribon and here is her very interesting sketch.
Fun, right? I originally was going to go with triangle die-cuts but I didn't have triangles with that same long shape (and I know there's a proper name for that shape but hey, it's been a few decades since I was at high school😄). Anyway, Plan B called for a change and while I was flicking through my dies, I saw this martini glass die and figured that'd work!
Now I know it looks like I went veered completely away from the sketch, but to prove I did stick to it pretty well, I overlaid the sketch onto my card.
See? 😆
The card is pretty self-explanatory so I won't go into any detail other than to say I added shading to some of the elements with Copic markers.
Thanks for visiting! The DT have created some gorgeous cards with this sketch so I hope you'll check them out.
Products used:

Cardstock: Smooth White, Limelight, Grout Gray, Chili Powder, Jellybean Green (MFT), Desert Storm (Neenah)

Cheers
Karren

LOve it!! I'd switch out the lime for those delish olives, and add a bit of the juice to make it extra dirty!! It's a bit early in the day, however...
What a fun take on your Sketch, Karren... cheers!
=]
what a cute card, Karren - love it!
Another creative and brilliant take on the sketch! Love this! x
Cheers! Oh it would be fun to clink glasses with you! Chic and sassy!
fabulous Karren. Great take on the sketch. Really thinking outside the square for sure
This is such a great card Karren! I just love that glass and those olives look soooo real!!! I definitely see the sketch in your card!! It's amazing!
Only you would overlay the sketch to let us see the similarities! But for the record I saw it! And I am super impressed. Fantastic take on the sketch and kudos to you and your clever ideas!
I totally saw the sketch in this design, Karren! Love the pops of color.
This is one of my all time favorites!! FANTASTIC design!
Fantastic card, Karren! I do see the sketch in your card, but overlaying the sketch on your card was a super cool idea! And waaaay too techie for me I might add! Love the bold shapes and the bit of highlighting you added with ink.
Fun!!! (I love the overlay - I should have done that with mine!)
How did I miss this post? Oh my gosh, Karren...your card is fabulous! I'm so impressed with your take on the sketch...your martini glass is perfect and I love how you added shading to the smaller elements...very cool!
