Hi and welcome back to another Merry Monday Christmas Card Challenge! This week, we have a fabulous color challenge for you from Margaret:
This isn't my favorite ever card, but it'll do! I used Translucent Embossing Paste and a brick stencil on the Always Artichoke card base. It looks all shiny IRL! The main layer was stamped using Peaceful Pinecones stamp set. The sentiment is embossed with gold embossing powder. The whole panel is layered onto Gold Foil Paper.
Thanks for looking. Take the time to check out the rest of the DT cards and try these colors yourself!
Products used:
Stamps: Peaceful Pinecones (PTI)
Ink: Early Espresso, Always Artichoke, Versamark
Cardstock: Whisper White, Always Artichoke, Gold Foil Paper, Holiday Harmony DSP
Accessories: Early Espresso Baker's Twine, gold sequins, gold EP
Cheers
Karren

I really love this card, Karren! That background is awesome and your design is well executed!!!
Karren I think your card is great! Love the background.... I've been stalking my mailbox waiting for some translucent embossing paste to try, I've never used any and I can't wait. Your card makes me even more excited to try it :)
awesome background!
What a great card Karren, the brickwork is a fun looking technique.
I love that stencilled brickwork, and your pines are just beautiful!
Karren, I LOVE so many elements of your card - the touches of gold, the baker's twine and, of course, the wonderful brick background!
The brick background is a wonderful backdrop for the stamped panel. I love the pine cone stamp with the twine wrap and sequins. Lovely
Your card is beautiful, Karren! I have been admiring it in the private blog since you posted it! Love how you made the brick wall and the touches of gold! A real beauty! :)
Very nicely done! I thought of pine cones as soon as I heard of this challenge, but not having anything pine coney I haven't made anything. That brick wall is just too cool!
I really like how you completed the brick look and also the shape of your 2nd layer looks great!
Neat background & I love the focal point!
Karren, what a cool way to use the embossing paste on your brick background...subtle but cool! What a great card!
Very pretty card and the lay out is gorgeous too. ~Diane
