Amazing

Hi!  I've spent a fair chunk of today making cards for two reasons - firstly, my son and my great-nephew have birthdays in the next 2 days and I hadn't made either of them a card!  Secondly, I wanted to play along with MFT's Summer School series.  I finished up with 4 cards - which is unheard of for me!

So this card is not one I made for the two birthdays, but rather the card I made for the Symmetry  challenge.  I also used Anita's Muse card for inspiration - with some ink-blending in similar colors and the Because theme in black.

I ink-blended a whole panel of white cardstock trying to keep the blending symmetrical with the Twisted Citron in the centre, then Peacock feathers on either side of that and Blueprint Sketch on the outer edges.,  Once I was finished, I flicked on some water and then die-cut it with the Brick Wall Cover Up die.

The "because" is stacked three high with the top layer painted with clear sparkle pen.  I white-embossed the "you're amazing" onto black cardstock and die-cut with a banner die from Blueprints 28 - having to do some partial die-cutting to make the banner shorter.

I didn't add any embellishments - trying to keep as symmetrical as possible!

Thanks for visiting!

Such a clever take on Anita's card, Karren! I love how you played with the color palette and the crisp, clean lines on the brick wall are perfect for the symmetry theme! Love how your black sentiment grounds your design, too...Awesome card!
