I went with just the photo this time and decided to get inky with a stencil.
I masked off a panel on a white card base and very lightly sponged over my Industrial stencil by Tim Holtz. I used Hickory Smoke ink although it looks blue in the photo! Once I was done, I removed the stencil and blended some ink over the whole masked panel to separate it a bit more from the whiteness of the card base. I then added some striped paper at the bottom and two thin strips of black cardstock above and below the stenciling.
To finish the card I die-cut the word "create" from some wood card and adhered it to the bottom right corner. And that's it!

Karren, this is such an awesome card! Love the stripes and the way you highlighted 'create'!
So calm and neat.....like that craft room! Classy stripes that are perfect with the stenciling and wood letters!
LOve the room [are you surprised to hear that my bedroom is this exact shade of gray?] and your very graphic, very cool card!

I love how you picked up on the elements in the photo for your card, Karren! Beautiful stenciling and I fabulous woodgrain alphas...Awesome card!
awesome Karren. Great card. Love the soft blue and the texture of the background.
This is a great take on the inspiration photo. The die cut word looks really cool layered over the stenciled background.
