Another Christmas Card

Welcome to another amazing sketch challenge from Freshly Made Sketches!  This week our hostess is the wonderful Kim Singdahlsen and she has come up with a great sketch for us.
I made another Christmas card - yes, I'm heartily sick of them, but I just got this poinsettia ribbon die and wanted to use it before putting it away for months.

I cut the die from Cherry Cobbler and Basic Gray cardstock and adhered it to a white panel, offsetting it to the right slightly.  I then die-cut the Joy word and adhered that over top.  A strip of gold foil down the right hand side and a gold-embossed sentiment to match and I was good to go!

The final touch was some clear sparkle pen on the flower and "joy" word.

Thanks for visiting!  The Design Team have used this sketch to make some gorgeous creations, so I hope you check them out.

I'm linking this to the HLS Christmas Challenge, the HLS Anything Goes with Dies Challenge and the Merry Christmas Challenge, who are looking for Clean & Simple.

I love this die (and the Joy die, too). The little touches of gold are unexpected and add such a pretty touch. Love this, Karren!

What a stunning die that is, Karren ... does it actually impress the grosgrain effect, or is that the paper?
Gorgeous card... look how far ahead you'll be come November 2017!

Indeed it would have been a pity to leave this fabulous die untouched until next Christmas! I love your choice of colors too, they are so elegant together ...

You are KILLING me with that die. I do not need that die. I do not need that die. Funny thing is, I was looking for a new poinsettia die (in case there was one prettier than the one I have), but gave up the search because I figured the die I have is perfectly acceptable and I should save my money for something else....and now this! I love everything about this card! :)

LOL! Love your opening comment about being totally sick of Christmas cards! I can relate. But when the Mojo comes up to make a Christmas card, that's what you make! And I'm so glad you did, because this card is absolutely GORGEOUS! I truly love every detail.
